About CDA

The College Democrats of America (CDA) is the official college outreach arm of the Democratic Party. CDA focuses on electing Democrats from the grassroots level up. In 2004, CDA canvassed on campuses nationwide and proved that the College Democrats of America is not just a campus political club but a nationwide student-driven action network. There are currently 2,192 campus chapters and over 75,000 active members and rising.

As the next generation of Democratic leaders emerges, CDA will stand behind them to bring peace and prosperity back to America. In 2008, young people turned out in historic numbers to support President Barack Obama and Democrats across the country.

The President and Vice President of College Democrats of America serve as the national voice and heads of College Democrats across the United States.  Together, they organize and execute national programs, events and advocacy efforts for Democrats young and old.  In addition to working to elect Democrats, they serve as delegates to the DNC and DNC Youth Council.
